Phono and Kim Kemi came down together for the first time in the summer of 2009. Since they had both had a great deal of experience with the techno scene, they figured they'd be a good match: Jacob Phono with his advanced skills in producing house music and techno - and Kim Kemi who had been DJ'ing in the Copenhagen techno scene since 1997.

Kim began releasing his own productions in 2001 which led to DJ gigs all over the world.

In 2006, Phono had to migrate to Copenhagen as the town of Aalborg became too small a playground for his creativity and talent for DJ'ing and for creating electronic events.

Coming to Copenhagen, slowly but surely he built a solid reputation through his DJ skills and DJ gigs. Together, Kim and Phono constitute a dynamic duo - both as DJ partners and as producers. They are now a regular appearance in the Copenhagen techno scene where they do their own monthly events.
